RANDOM STUFF
I play the violin.
It's a classic instrument.
It is awsesome fun.
Music is my life!
At chinese new year
It is best.
Fireworks display in the air.
Red pockets, laughter everywhere!
Evil disgusting creatures
Creeping in the dark.
Infecting rapidly to live
They'll grow until there vast.
They sway along the calm breeze
Refreshing air we breathe.
In Autumn leaves will fall away
But Evergreens are here to stay!

Havoc

Havoc is the continued book from Malice and Seth is now back in action. Seth got back to the real world to get the the only thing that can stop the evil villian, Tall Jake. Malice is leaking into to the real world where people don’t notice a thing. Seth realizes how long it’s been since he’d gone. Now He’s got back into Malice and is trying to reach Havoc, an army of kids who are against Tall Jake. His friends are already there but are waiting for Seth to come back safely with the secret weapon. Malice is real and it’s going to take over both worlds if he doesn’t stop Tall Jake. This is another great book to read and I give my rating 9/10 which I highly recommend people who love to read genres like horror and mystery.

WALT:Describe how advancements in technology occur to meet a need or solve a problem.

1.What does the use of the electric car solve?
The use of the oil from the earth because soon there won't be enough.
2.Who will benefit from the EV1?
I reckon everyone will benefit from the EV1 because people won't waste money on fuel and it will be better for the environment as the air will also be a lot healthier for everyone to breath in the fresher air.
3.What problems were caused by the electric car?
Some people couldn't afford the electric car and the batteries were very good either.

Review:
The Electric Car
In 1996 the electric car was invented. In the 20th Century lots of cars were made but barely any were electric. Gas cars were made more because it was cheaper to run. Then, a unique solar powered car was made in aim to be better than the normal car.
In 1998 lots of people from the age 15-20 had lung disease with the car we drive today. In 2003 automatic car sellers had to have 10% of cars without exhausts.
Electric cars are environmental and easier to use. All you had to do was charge it in at night. They were the same price as gas cars. People didn't want electric cars because they knew nothing about it. GM(General Motors) made a great electric car called the EV1 and 4000 people said they would buy one when they each got called up there actually 50 that really wanted to.
In Summer 2004, the electric car was took off the road. They crushed the EV1s and electric trucks were found that were going to be crushed. people protested against the last of the EV1s to be crushed. The EV1s were going to be recycled though.
There is only one trillion barrels of oil in the Earth's crust. When GM went to ask random people to see if they knew about EV1s because they've spent millions of dollars for advertising but only a few knew most people haven't even seen a single ad about EV1's!
Consumers couldn't see the difference between electric and gas cars, all they saw was he price and speed.
Now the discussion on electric cars are exactly the same as 30 years ago.

Here's a recount we did in class about camp.
Year 7 Motutapu Camp

Monday the 3rd,it’s camp!!! Year 7 camp is on Motutapu island. It is a outdoor eduacation camp and I paid to go.

We arrived at Half-Moon Bay on time to catch the ferry. The ferry ride was smooth sailing through calm seas. What was next? The 6.5km walk from Rangitoto to Motutapu. Personally, I did not like the walk and I don’t think many other people liked it too!

When you get there the first thing you feel is relief. Then we all had something to eat and you got to pick your bed in your assigned dormetry. We gathered back after unpacking for a welcome speech and which activities we were going to do first.

My first activity was sailing. We paired up and took turns to go on the small sailing boats. The wind was good but not enough to capsize anyone. That was the day I learnt how to sail.

The food is great there and you shouldn’t get hungry too often. We wait at our tables to be sent up for dinner. Everyone gets some and most of the time there were seconds.

DAY 2
Next morning I woke up from the noise of my dormetry yelling. So I went outside because I couldn’t sleep and our dormetry was having a party compared to the others.

My first activity was Rock Climbing and I acomplished 2 out of 4 walls. We also had to stop for a while because it started to rain slightly.
Next was the Gun Walk where we saw where some of world war 2’s underground tunnel. I even found a human finger bone!
Cayaking was fun and I already know how to paddle. We played Cayak Soccer and it was basically soccer on water where you had to paddle to the floating ball.
High Ropes was all about courage and conquering your fear of heights. I am not scared of heights but o the spider web climb I got a cramp on my left arm but I still made it to the top.

An exausted day of fun. I had a quick shower and played around the courts. When a teacher rang the bell, everyone lined up for dinner. We had sticky chicken and it was good, the down part was we weren’t aloud seconds.

We also had night time activities and toinght I played Spotlight. I got caught the first round but then I found the perfect hiding spot. There was a black rubbish sack behind a dorm and luckily, I was wearing a black jersey so I curled up into it next to the rubbish sack.

DAY 3
I had orientering first and I did ‘Treasure Hunt’ with Mattew. We came first against the other teams and the final code was YOUR FINISHED.
After some morning tea, our team went to the Confidence Course where we had to work together to get through the obstacles.
I did not look forward to Survivor because I’ve seen how muddy people get after it. You also have to work together and I still fell into the pond. I had light coloured socks when I came, but they were brown when we came back.
I’ve always loved Achery. Achery was our last activity and we used these big long bows to shoot with. It was very awesome but then Troll pulled out his special, personal bow, the crowd was stunned. He shot four arrows bullseye and they all went right through the target!

Today we also got to pick our electives for tommorow which means we got to pick which activity we wanted to do tommorow. I picked: Snorkling,Beach Bum & Achery.

DAY 4
Snorkling was really cool but the gear took way too long to sort out. After putting our gear on we went straight to the snorkling area. When we got into the water we started seeing lots of snapper and other fish. There even was a massive snapper called Joeand when I saw him all I could say was ‘gasp’.

Beach Bum was just chilling on the beach. I helped build a dam which we then turned into a water race track.

Achery was even better because we had more turns shooting. We had individual and team compeatitions. There even were adult rounds. My team came third and I didn’t make it to the individual funals, sadly…

We even had a Camp Concert! People performed there talents and comedy skits. My favourite was a comedy skit by Mr.Glogoski and Archy because they made fun of most of the teachers.

DAY 5
It’s the last day of camp and every group got areas to clean up. The walk back to the ferry seemed easier and quicker than the first walk. We stopped in the middle for lunch rolls. When we got off the ferry we waited for our parents to pick us up from Half-Moon Bay.That was the end of camp.

The History of Cellphones

Cellphones are a commonly used tool to communicate with others. Everyone has them now and here’s some history about them.

In 1910 people started to install radio telephones in their cars. Then in 1926, cellphones were made with black’n’white screens and the ability to communicate with others.

Cellphones have evolved much more in recent years. Some of the abilities are photo-taking, video taping, Bluetooth, touch screen and more.

A lot of kids get phones for safety reasons so they can keep in touch with there parents. However it does cost to put credit onto your phone. Us kids have also made a thing called text language allowing people to type words faster and easier.

Cellphones are really cool and great to use but are easily lost so a good idea is buy one that is under $100 just in case.
